Human Rights, Decentralization and the Kyushu National
Museum Campaign Chief editor Rokko Kikutake and the article criticizing the military
for the failed rebellion on May 15, 1932. Although the military attempted to suppress
anti-fascism articles, the Fukuoka Nichi-nichi Newspaper (forerunner of the Nishinippon
Newspaper), unlike other dailies in Japan, ran the articles.Based on our company philosophy "Our Kyushu - Taking the Initiative in Regional Development," the Nishinippon is unique in the Japanese press with its two major policies of "decentralization" and "human rights." With the goal of making Kyushu an even more attractive place in the 21st century, the company organized "Kyushu 21st Century Committee" in 1986, and has taken the initiative in efforts to construct the Kyushu National Museum. ![]() ![]() Pamphlet Recommending the Construction of the Kyushu National Museum |
